Kolkata Maidan

Kolkata Maidan is a vast open area. It is also referred to as Brigade Parade Ground. At any given time of the day, you can find, a cacophony is going around. Different kinds of people, doing completely different things. Even not doing anything at all, just resting, passing time. As an observer, you will hardly get bored of it.

Went with my friend, Bishwarup, on his first photographic voyage. Even for me also, this was the first time I entered Kolkata Maidan. The last time I came here was 15 years ago.

Below are some of the photographic exposures I made throughout the visit. Tried to capture the essence of mornings here. It was the end of winter here. And the departing winter was still spraying its little chill around.
